Art is my passion. I love nature. My vision is often expressed as abstract art and other times in a more impressionist way. It is my belief that artists can express themselves in many ways. Please check back often and I would love your comments.

Now that I am retired, have more time to paint. So many paintings, so little time! Please check my website for items currently offered for sale http://www.deefox.com. Above is a preview. You will find abstracts and florals too
Here is a little change of pace.... love those abstracts.... but love those California landscapes too! This is from Topanga State Park in Southern California. Makes me think of how California used to be. This is oil on linen... 11x14. Not for sale... already sold.
Just won honorable mention at an online competition for this piece, Are The Stars Out Tonight. This was such a thrilling piece to do... thinking of the awesome scope of the night sky... my heart thrills at the thought. Painting is such a wonderful outlet for awe.
Here's another blast from the past called Blue Flame. It is fun to look back at previously sold works and wonder how they look in their new homes.
Still no pictures of my "helpers" Doogie-Bear and Buster. Seems all my photos of the kitties have red eye and the background shows a little too much of my "lived in" home..... if you catch my drift.

This is an abstract I did a few years ago.
The gentleman who bought it was so pleased. He was setting up his first apartment and this is the first piece of art he bought. It was nice to be part of this.
Am looking for some pictures of my two feline "helpers" and will post them soon. They are Doogie-Bear (10 year old Siamese) and Buster (1 year old beautiful mix) Doogie-Bear is very well behaved.... Buster is...... well...... really pretty.
Well, here I am, starting a blog. Not being a particularly chatty person, I expect most entries will be short and sometimes sweet. Just a brief introduction. I am an artist very excited about life and the process of making pictures. Here is one that I recently finished for a client. She wanted an accent piece with fall colors. It is creatively entitled "Fall". (I told you I wasn't the chatty type) (LOL) Almost forgot to add the picture....duh!
